Sunday May 3, 2020 – Message from Reverend(s) Glenn and Heather

Hello Folks! Tomorrow starts the beginning of loosening the grip Covid-19 has had in Manitoba and around the world. Most people are still reticent about venturing out into the public and can’t say as we blame them. Just remember common sense will lead you well, and listening to your inner voice and how it makes you feel.

We’ve have said in the past, “if in doubt, don’t” and a certain amount of care needs to be practiced to keep you and those you love protected from this pandemic.

Our Message today is the famous saying by Andrew Jackson Davis. “In all things keep an even mind.” This is what we call the Golden Staff of Life. Now more than ever when your thoughts can be shaken, your life maybe uncertain, your job, your relationships upended, keep this saying front and centre in your mind. It takes you out of yourself and gives a perspective that is different.

As you go on your way today, and go forward this week, with temptations to feel despondent coming into your pathway; repeat often and as the situation arises…In All Things Keep An Even Mind. God Bless!

Sunday, April 26th Message from Reverend(s) Glenn and Heather

Hello Folks!   In the past month, with everything being the “new norm” it can bring about a seismic shift in how we process change.

How many times have your heard the expression “Your not going to change him! (or her/them)  This seems to apply frequently to people who are stuck in their ways or habits, seniors who like their routine or those who are just stubborn.  Change and taxes are pretty much what humankind has lived with throughout the ages.  Even the change called death.

Today however, we want to speak to you about the everyday changes as we try to adapt as our lives unfold.  Remember we can only live in the moment, one day at a time. Lately it seems difficult to make long range plans or decisions because what happens every day changes rapidly.  Especially now with the pandemic facing all of us.

Before you focus too intently on what is happening in today’s world, take a step back and check your state of mind.  Are the changes you are making, or planning to make, done in the heat of the moment?  Decisions you are making, are they rash decisions or those that will enhance your life.

How are your impulsive decisions affecting those around you, or those you love.  Sometimes impulsive decisions can be fun for all.  Taking that country ride right in the middle of a chore or work project.  Making pizza for supper instead of that gourmet meal you planned a few days ago.

What we are endeavoring to say is change is a part of life.

Even tho’ everyone knows this, now a days this takes on a new deeper meaning.  It feels more intense.  Decisions seem to weigh more heavily upon us and the changes it brings.  The more major the decision, the more it would be prudent to take that step back and look at your state of mind, and what is happening in your life right now.  Then you know that a good change can be made.  Thinking about it for a bit, you may change how that decision will work out for the betterment of all.  As the song says, “times they are a-changin”

God Bless

Sunday, April 19, 2020 – Message from Reverend(s) Glenn and Heather

Hello Folks! With everyone practicing human distancing for the past month, it seems, at times, that it can be more difficult than we may think. We use to say that it would be wonderful to have more time! Time to paint rooms in our home, time to spend on the phone with friends, more time to FaceTime family who live far away, and just time to sit with a good book. We remember saying, we were so busy we didn’t have time to think!
It brings us to the topic of “clarity of thought.” We now have a world view of the stress people can be under with what is happening with the epidemic and we can see on television and social media, the world at large, coping as best they can.

Has this time to think changed the pattern of your thoughts? Have the old stereotypes of your thoughts changed at all. Have some things in your life changed because of your new thought process. Has it been for the better, more clear in charting a new direction. You will be surprised at how many of you will change a lot in your life; just because you may want to let go of things that don’t suit you anymore.

What serves you best now? Did your “clarity of thought” bring new vistas into your life. Did the world view stress factor have you change your thoughts of what it is you want to see in your life in the future. Maybe going back to what was, is more your style.

But really, will it not be different because you now think differently because of all that has happened? May “clarity of thought” bring about for all of you a clear direction. Remember “thoughts are things.” In your moments of clarity, make that clarity a positive for you. One that serves you better.

We have in our opening prayer a line that reads, “All life is growth, so we judge not ourselves or others.” May the “clarity of thought” bring a new horizon, a better way of being, a better way of living. God Bless!

Sunday, April 12, 2020 – Message from Reverend(s) Glenn and Heather

Easter Sunday is the perfect opportunity to use your power of positive to send “peace to all, life to all, love to all.” Although Spiritualism is not Christianity, Hebrew nor Muslim religions, the commonality of Jesus of Nazareth is paramount. For Christianity Jesus is the Son of God, for the Hebrew faith and Muslim faith Jesus is seen a Prophet.

Spiritualism is the Science, Religion and Philosophy of continuous life. Our religion is based on proof! Proof of Life after Life and Jesus of Nazareth, our Brother Jesus, our Master Healer, proved this. This was a Miracle to prove continuous life to us and give comfort to all of us. Our physical life here is not the end of us.

Now much is written about group mentality. Dr. Carl Jung wrote about it in the book titled, “The Collective Unconscious.” When people unite in common for reasons that are tangible or intangible there is a unity of thought, word and deed. The power of thought is one that needs to be taken seriously and to use in a way that is beneficial to all humankind.

So as this new Easter day dawns, lets all band together in the perfect transmission of powerful thoughts. Thoughts of positive for humanity. Thoughts of the healing power of Spirit, positive, pure and loving. If everyone in the world would do this, the world would change over night! God Bless all of you this Easter Sunday.

April 5th Message from Reverend(s) Glenn and Heather

Hello Folks!  We know this message is happening at a time where it seems like we have come to the realization that we are in for the long haul with regards to the Covid-19 situation.

So how are you all coping with the new-norm?  What is a positive, is the amount of information out there to help with coping strategies.  Every tidbit of information is at your fingertips!

We might suggest that you keep your information searching, with regards to Covid-19, to once a day.  You want to be informed, and not inundated.  Being inundated with news causes fear.  You don’t need fear, you need to be informed.  You need information or coping strategies, not to be overwhelmed at the stats of the day.

As Reverends, we miss the personal touch with our congregation and our class.  We are calling everyone we know, so if you haven’t heard from us, just call at (204) 390-6609 as we would love to hear from you.

Now is the time to practice what you have learned, and do the meditations, write your “Talks” and connect with your Guides.  Make sure if you start to feel house-bound to go to a park for a walk.  Remembering of course your human distancing factor.  Fresh air and  brisk walk sorts out many things and brings new perspective.  God Bless to each and every one of you!

March 29, 2020 – Message from Glenn and Heather

Hello Folks!  We have been thinking and sending good thoughts to all of you.  Know these thoughts to you are continuous every single day. Yesterday while walking in our back property, there were so many wonderful, inspirational tidbits we wanted to share with everyone, and now, next day, they have flown away like the birds!  Just a good cue to make sure when you have an idea, just jot it down on a post-it note.

One thing that isn’t forgotten is how the Covid-19 situation has gripped people world-wide.  As Reverends, we both thought the phone lines and our cell phones would be ringing off the hook more than usual, but it hasn’t happened!  We believe we know why.

Those people in our congregation and in our classes, know our teachings, that are as simple as the Covid-19 rules of good health.  Now a days, we all know about the human distancing factor, washing your hands, and staying home, especially when feeling under the weather.  Will this end?  Yes it will; just as the Spanish Flu of 1918, the Sars virus and H1N1 all ran their courses.

Our message is simple as well, and is good to keep in mind when you feel overwhelmed by how life has changed literally overnight.  First and foremost, live your life one day at a time. Make the most of the day in which you are living. Remember to remember, to live in the moment!  Find happiness in the small things as well.  Practice “gratitude” every single day.  Living life in Canada as compared to the rest of the world is a blessing.  Breathe deeply when you remember to do so.  Breath is life!  When you open your door or window first thing in the morning, take in deep cleaning breaths and fill your lungs to the fullest and exhale.  Lastly keep in mind, positive thoughts are hundreds of times stronger than negative ones.  Put positive thoughts to everything!  Especially when watching media updates that constantly flow to keep the world in the know.  Stay tuned to our Church website, as we will be sending you messages on a regular basis.  So folks, know our positive thoughts are being sent to you everyday from our hearts.  Peace to all, life to all, love to all!  God Bless.

A Winter Message

Just a few days ago I heard a woman talking to an interviewer on a radio show about feeling, all her life, of being “other than.”  She was born in Canada, however is of Asian heritage, and mentioned she was a visible minority.  The conversation between them was about her never being good enough, of being “other than.”

This “other than” feeling can also be felt by people whether they are a visible minority or not.  Feelings of not being worthy enough, feelings of not fitting in, feelings of disparity and alienation.  With the arrival of vast computer networking systems and social media, we have become a Global Village indeed.  All this technology and 21st Century knowledge and still humans have not learned the value of kindness, respect and the simple act of getting along.

As Spiritualists we know not to give up.We know to send through the ethers, the kindness, respect and love that is so needed in the world.  Do not feel you are ever “other than.”With the New Year of 2020 coming into play in a few weeks, we  want to wish everyone, health, wealth and happiness.  Our Reverends and Board of Directors wish all of our best, to You.  God Bless!

Fall 2019 Message from The Reverends LaLiberte

Wow!  The Fall weather is here already.  A new start to the last quarter of year 2019.  Each season seems to bring its own brand new start, however, Fall season is quite dramatic.

Nature changes to beautiful Fall colours, students of all ages are heading back to school.  Lots of movement in nature with geese and other birds heading south. The hot weather behind us, with Summer vacations over, we head into Fall with new expectations.

In our classes we teach our life is like a triangle, a pyramid, with each point representing our Physical, Spiritual and Emotional parts of our lives.  Lets have the Fall begin with the word “focus”.  Focus on our lives, Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional.  Focus on bringing ourselves up to snuff.  Focus on our health, wealth and happiness.

When this happens, when our Triangle of Life is running full tilt, then we will overflow with gratitude, love and appreciation for the greatness of Infinite Intelligence.  We then can go back into the world, recharged, renewed and ready to help in a world that so needs us.  Spirit Blessings and God Bless!

Autumn 2017 Message from Reverends Glenn and Heather LaLiberte

Fall is here in all it’s glory! We have had remarkable weather here in Manitoba. Let’s give thanks for all good things we have in our lives. Sometimes it seems life is so hard, and the good things we do have don’t feel so close to us in times like that. Just remember to start from the beginning. If you have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a mouth to communicate with, you are more blessed than many.

If you an walk without assistance. If you can hug your family and friends. If you have a job or career (and you enjoy it) you are blessed indeed.  If you can call on a friend at any time  day or night and they are there for you, you are blessed. If you have food to eat, a place to sleep and clothing. . . . well this is a good place to start being grateful.

Find something each and every day to be grateful for and through the Law of Attraction, your gratitude will pull towards yourself, more to be grateful for. Thanksgiving is celebrated by many here in Manitoba. As Spiritualists, we feel it is a great time with the Autumnal Equinox, when energies are heightened, to give thanks for the bounty of the Earth, and all we have in our material lives.

Also as Spiritualists, we give thanks on a daily basis, and not just this time of year. Daily Thanksgiving is so important in our lives. It uplifts emotionally feels good physically and Spiritually connects us in a beautiful way to our Spirit Guides and Infinite Intelligence, our Creator God. God Bless You!
