Hello Folks! We are both very excited to start up our Church Services once again on Sunday October 18th, 10:30 am. Reverend Glenn will be doing the first “Talk” and we are so glad! It is sure to be amazing (as per usual). Since we have a few Sundays before our Fall Opening we will be giving Website Messages up until then.
Now down to the Message. Do you feel as if you are heading into a new start with the advent of Fall? Just know we are on board with you in wishing the Covid-19 pandemic would be over and done with. Reality says we are into “new norms” and this may last for awhile, maybe for years.
What concerns us is the propensity for depression and a giving up of self in what seems to be a never ending situation that has crept into our lives. The remedy may be one of starting at square one. What is square one you say? Making the most of the saying “one day at a time” and kicking it into your reality, your daily life.
There is a lot to be said for looking for the positive each and every day. You reading this means you have eyes to see even if you do wear glasses or contacts. There’s a start. While confined to home, we redid the inside and planted a garden. It was good, as well as needed and the time was right. The message here is never, ever give up. No matter what!
Manitoba is fortunate to have services for a variety of situations. Just make sure as the Fall sets in and wWinter comes our way, to ask and look into what is available for you. Whatever it is you need assistance with. You may be surprised at what you find when you seek! You may be amazed to find people so ready to listen to you.
Our Church is a warm and welcoming place where you can find peace and folks willing to lend an ear. (with social distancing and masks of course). So what have you learned about yourself in the past six months? Reverend Glenn will be talking about that very subject on Sunday October 18th. We look forward to seeing you, and know our Services will be held in the gymnasium for the rest of this calendar year. God Bless!
